Last week, the town announced that it will be sponsoring hour-long “listening sessions” throughout the month of September in an effort to hear from people who were not represented on the Master Plan Steering Committee or through the town’s surveys. To the best of our knowledge, no one who lives in the Johnson Park School district served on the Committee, so we especially are encouraging anyone who lives in the school catchment area to attend any meeting that is convenient for you.
The Master Plan is both a document with lofty goals for the future of the town and provides analysis, data, and recommendations that impact the economy, housing, transportation, historic preservation, and recreation. The town plans to approve the Master Plan by the end of this calendar year. Don’t wait until the last minute to become informed and involved!
Anyone may attend any meeting any location. Please choose a time and/or location that works for you.
The listening sessions will include a presentation on the master plan interspersed with discussion questions and are scheduled throughout the community with one in Spanish and one online:
